Bug Detector – Combo
The Bug Detector – Combo combines a radio frequency scanner and spy camera finder in one unit . This device is the ideal product for giving peace of mind for an environment (such as in the home) where the threat level is lower.
This device is designed to identify and locate bugs that transmit audio using various radio frequencies including battery operated transmitters or bugs, mains powered bugs, telephone transmitters, video transmitters, mobile phones, etc. It is incorporates a system to find any spy camera lenses no matter how well hidden or small they maybe.
The unit has a decent scanning range of between 20MHz and 6GHz and that allows for detection of devices with differing power outputs. The device has a nice LCD function display screen that shows the strength of detected frequency output. The status of the batteries is also indicated on the LCD display, as is the mode of operation.
The lens detector function is based on the principle of optical augmentation. This technical jargon refers to the phenomenon where light reflected from a focused optical system such as a video camera lens is reflected along the same path as the incident light. This means that if a hidden camera is illuminated and viewed with the lens detector technology then a strong reflection from the target camera will reveal its position to the user.
This camera finder exploits this phenomenon by using a ring of ultra-bright LEDs arranged around a viewing port. When a user scans a room looking through the viewing port a hidden camera appearing in the field of view will brightly reflect the light from the LED’s.
All in all the fuss free design and functionality make this unit simplicity to use both for radio frequency detection and for use as a camera lens detector.
